Respected friend I James Nantucket 27th of 12th 1794 In behalf of self and owner ship Joanna This may inform that we received thine Dated 13th 12mo [MONTH] 1794 which signified thy want of money and thy expectation of my Company in your parts. Have just arrived from Baltimore and the reason so late is rather unfavourable passing Now I would have thee to remember that from the beginning of the contract to the conclusion we mean to comply with to a little had we ben apprised of thy wants we could easily supplied them for when with you I informed we was ready to thy wishes thy Reply was no Hurry when I arrived from Baltimore Last Summer I Queried the owners if they had settled but was informed thy hurry was so Great it could not be done then I then informed Israel thy money was ready and wished to have a Bill of the Ship I have been waiting Expecting it from thee So as to make a close of the matter therefore would wish to move where it suits Best here or in Boston here or in Boston for thee to have the money where it is due.

Nantucket 24th 1 mo [MONTH] 1795 Elisha Sigourney This may inform we should be glad thou would Take up our Note at Brook's office upon as Good Terms as thou can the circumstances of the vessel thou had Verbal with Alex Gardner we are in present want of a bag of cotton suitable for candle wick & Br [BARRELL?] of [POT?] Also should be glad thou would if compatable Send us as Above first opportunity & Place the same to us. Nantucket 9th 3 mo [MONTH] 1795 Esteemed Friend Elisha Sigourney This may inform that we received the Pot ashes & cotton in good order. We now Request that thou would send us first opportunity half a Ton of Pot ashes like the Former as we are in Urgent want or shall be in 6 days thy conduct Respecting the Premium at Brooks office is Satisfactory Likewise the Sale of Bone in Daniels Letter Should be glad to us what Prospect their is for Right Whale candles as we have some on hand. We are in want of a [LANGO?] from [KETTLE?] should be glad thou would inform us the contact of the largest for sale in Boston & what price it may be [BOUGHT?] for. Nantucket 2nd 4mo [MONTH] 1795 Esteemed Friend Elisha Sigourney We send by Capt Barns Twenty Boxes Sperm Candles to thy Address wishing thou may dispose of them and place the same to our Act. [ACCOUNT] we should have had a larger Quantity for thy case at this time but being out of the Ashes makes us fall short of Calculation. We not for Esqr. [ESQUIRE] Hemmet For half a ton Should be glad when [COMATTABLE?] thou would send it We shoud be glad to have they judgement respecting

Right Whale Candles [ANSWERING?] the france Market our Being on an Island makes it that we are not always in Knowledge of Furren [FOREIGN] Markets. We wrote to T Turner 27th 12 mo [MONTH] 1794 & sent a Draft inclosed on the for 100 pound Should be glad to know whether it has ever come to hand if So what date it was paid.
