Scottish Fancies ([Mabel?] [...... ....?] recipe) 1 cup rolled oats ½ cup white sugar 1 egg ⅓ tsp salt ¼ tsp vanilla ⅔ tablespoon melted butter Mix together using 1 tsp micture for one cake drop in greased pan and pan with a wet knife 1 doz cakes

Lady Cake ¾ full sugar 2½ cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup milk ½ cup shortening (butter) vanilla & mace [....?] well, add nuts if desired citron or raisins bake ¾ hour very good cheap cake

Bordelaise Sauce (Mr. Gaudin) 2 yolks in double boiler beaten until cooked add ½lb melted butter strained beat well add piece of lemon & seasoning to taste

Dumpling ½ cup milk ½ cup flour mixed together put good size piece of butter in pan and melt [p..?] in mixture and fry till [ra.her?] dry - take off fire put in bowl, cool add 1 egg and mix thoroughly and smoothly. Add by small quantity to soup. [.....?] spoon in soup after each dumpling cover and cook 10 minutes.
