Pursuant to a resolution adopted at
a meeting of the Vestry Sept 16.
A meeting of the congregation of St.
John's Church was held on Thursday
evening Sept 24. 1869 after Divine Service
The Rector in the chair. who stated
the object of the meeting viz: To take
into consideration the expediency of
adopting the free pew system and
also to examine into the financial
condition of the church.
Mr Carrington stated that there
would be a deficit of some $200
on the first day of November -
unless some action was taken to
provide for said deficit.
No action was taken in the
premises.
