reasoned the base with him a good while, I at Length told him if it made for his Peace of Mind, it might do; but I did not think there was such an other Instance to be met with on the Continent, and when I saw my rea soning would not prevail I told him I would enter him in my Pocket Book & if I lived to return Home would car ry him to Pennsylvania, In 27 Miles through the Rain, we got to Club foot Creek, was at their Meeting next Day which was first Day of the Week & 15th.of the Mo. I had a bad Cold & with Difficulty eased my Mind among them, that afternoon with Joseph Dew went down to [Core-Sound?] Meeting [10?]

Miles. Have now travelled 1834. Miles,_Then back to blubfoot Greek to Horton Howards' 10 Miles, then 40 Miles from there next day to lower Trent, then 22 1/2 Miles to upper Trent next day, then 35 Miles to Contentney to the house of Mr Lanearter. Next day 12 Miles to their select Quarter
