{How Walker & Co 22 December} {60/2409 Seeking explanation upcoming} {Crown Laws Act } Sydney 20 December 1860
Sir,
With reference to a notification which appears in the Queensland Government Gazette under date of the 5th instant (repelling the regulations to be established for the occupation of Crown Lands), we beg respectfully to enquire if the Regulations reffered to viz; as regards Tenders put in under rescinded regulations are meant to apply to tenders which have been received and opened, years ago, by the Government of N.S.Wales, but are not even yet reported on.
We ourselves as well as several of {R WA}out Constituents are interested largely in tenders for country in the Leichardt district, which are at present in the position described, but we do not read the {Reply within a week 27} provisions of Act 24 Sect u :2 and 3 {Reply: How Walker & Co 27 December 1860 }as applicable to them.
On the other hand it is held by some that theses provisions affect all tenders already opened but not reported on
