and myself contracted for the carpenters
work of our house. he was not at
home, but I found him at a sale at Mr.
Cotes, he recalled some of the conversation
but did not recollect the positive contract
but said he would reflect upon & let
me hear from him in a few days—
I then come up to Republican to see
Mr. Spencer Kieling who Mr. Moon tried
to get - to take the job off his hands
after so anxious to get it. Mr. Keiling
said very clear that Moon told him
I was to give him Moon one hundre
& twenty five dolls. for doing any work

Travelled about 46 miles on this business
Demarcas Lain also heard Moon say
I was to give him $125.- for doing my
carpenters work ————————

Nov. 21 Cutting down Branch - Halling
wood. Shrubbing corn land & breaking

began this day to plow for corn,

& gences about house & lot
& making cow shelters - put up
cherry to fatten, cutting on Branch
