arrived at the bay.
During the 7 days from the time I left Corvallis
for Cape Foulweather till my return it rained
every day. On account of the
failure in themails the preparations for
??? materials had not been made.
??? the Tower C??? be completed before next
fall it seemed on the whole best not to
commence the dwelling as it would be
impossible to enclose it before the rainy season
sets in. Every means is being
used to get all the materials on the site
