upon it between the Archbishops and myself.

From these statements it would appear that the solution of the difficult
problem which is in question does not rest with me for their Graces exact of me
what my Congregation prohibits; or with my Congregation for it has made
a concession of which their Graces have been unable to avail themselves.

Nothing more is left to my Fathers or myself than to offer our prayers to that
Wise and Good Providence who brings to an [illegible] what he has began that he would deign
as he [illegible] with, to find a remedy for difficulties; which however anxious at the
moment belong to those undertakings which are at once great in themselves and have the sure promise of eventual success.
