With refereence to your letter of todays date respecting the watching of the Cargo of Timber, Deals £c ex "Perseverence" from [Fremel?]. - wrecked at Kilnsea on the 14th ulto, - I beg to acquaint you that in respect thereof, - I have received from Messrs Harrison a deposit of £24:14:0 and will thank you to describe to the Controller General of the Coast Guard the Services rendered by your Officers and obtain his directions as to its disposal.
