Untranscribed 1862

Friday 21 weather still
unpleasant, in my tent
all day read a letter from
my son Thad and one from
little Ea. Gilmore wrote to
Bro Hason and Jane E
McCauly Co B & G was
called out last night
to go to Hagerstown and
returned at 5ocl in the
morning there are strange
calls made sometimes
upon a Reg. We think some one
blunders did not visit
the Hospital to day so im well
save little pain in my breast
nearly gone thank god

Saturday 22 am considerable
better of my cold but in my
tent nearly all day trying
to get ready for the Sabeth
Recd a letter from Doct
Carter he is repenting of
his sins may the lord bless
and Keep him The left wing
called out to night doe not
know where they went thank
God for his goodness to me
