My dearest Thomas,
I got up this morning at the usual time for me which
Seven fifteen. The chow hall closes at Seven thorty so I don't
have much time to spare. Mullins and I always go togeather
and some time we really have to step on it.
When I get back from chow the boys told me we might have
inspection so we all get on the job swabbing. I swabed the register
room down good. I mean all the shelves and everything. It took
nearly all the morning. I didn't get much done before time
for chow again.
After chow I put my clothes in sack and then get ready
for liberty. Will do my washing in the morning. So you see
I haven't had such a hard day. I was busy doing something however.
I went to see another movie this afternoon. We saw
Footlight Parade, staring Betty Grable. It was very good and
I enjoyed it lots. A very good musical comedy the kind that
I like. I guess you have seen the picture.
We ate supper at the Red Cross and had my first bottle Coca
Cola since leaving the States. Boy, was it good and I though I had lost
my taste for them. The Red Cross is the only place I was eat of the Base.
We only get sandwiches there but they tide you over very much.
How do you like this outline of one of my days. Not so bad is it?
Just like all my liberty days are. They don't vary much from this. I really
dont have much to write about do I?
One thing tough I can always say, I love you so much,
Harry
