Annie Romey Cake.

3/4 cup molasses.
2 " flour.
2 well beaten egg yolks.
1/8 tsp. salt.
1 " cinnamon
1/2 " spice.
1/2 cup warm water.
1/2 tsp soda.
Stir together the molasses + the flour
and beat well.
Add the egg yolks well beaten & salt + spices.
If a darker cake is desired add 1 tsp. chocklet.
Dissolve soda in the warm water and add last.
Beat well and bake in three layers.
Put together with white boiled icing.
