teaching. I had men of all ranks -
private to colonel- in this class.
I had a wonoderful time doing this until
I was sent on Detached Service with
the Eighth Air Force in Paris, France in
connection with their Air Show. It was
a great honor and I enjoyed every
minute of it. Thousands came to the
show, which was set up under the
Eiffel Tower in Paris. While in
Paris, the report of the Japanese surrender
came in. Although I was asked
to go to Stockholm, Sweden with the
Air Show, I requested that I be
allowed to return to Raydon. My
request was approved so I returned to
Raydon. I had ample points to be released
from service. Some few of our men
had been separated from service after
the surrender by Japan.

Jimmy Parrish also from North Carliona
and were sent to Stone Separation Center.
40 Trip to POE
At Stone we turned in and received proper
