Gentlemen

You are respectfully notified of a
violation of section 1 045- page 442 revised ordinance,
Wm & Powell Revision, on the corner of Sixth & Main
Streets.

A "cafe" sign is attached to an electric pole
in front of my place of business. This sign
was put up by a restaurant firm whose
place of business is on sixth Street [several?]
distance away from the sign. I have
protested to the chief of police and to Commissioners
Sam Davidson for relief and now come
to you honorable body.

I am not in the "Cafe" business and the
sign is not really unlawful but is calculated
to injure my business as a misleading
advertisement. I respectfully ask that you
have this sign removed under the ordinance
indicated above.
