Sir:
Mr Josiah M. Jones, who is the Exor of Mrs Otis Fairbanks, (just deceased) representative of lot 659, Greenbrier -- wishes to know how much needs to be done to the lot to put it in order, & what it will cost. Mrs F. three years ago gave the Corporation $100 to keep the lot in order. She has left in her will $200 more. Mr Jones says the lot looks badly -- I told him, if a lot was in bad order the income of $100 would not help it, & it was probably not in good order 3 years ago.
Perhaps it will be well for you to report on both at same time -- cost of present repair -- cost of perpetual repair

Dear Sir,
I am informed that you have called once or twice at my office for a deed of lot no. 3800 in the Cemetery. I presume you misapprehend the practice with the Corporation. The invariable course is not to make a deed until after the purchaser has been to the Treasurer & paid for the lot.
Please call upon our Treasr Geo Wm Bond, 13th Federal St. (new place) & pay him $213.25, and you will get a receipt which will enable you to go forward with your the use of your lot. I shall then make the deed so soon as I can get a return from the surveyor.
Resp.y yours
