Capt. Winsor,

Sir:

Mr Josiah M. Jones, who is the Exor of Mrs Otis Fairbanks, (just deceased) representative of lot 659, Greenbrier -- wishes to know how much needs to be done to the lot to put it in order, & what it will cost. Mrs F. three years ago gave the Corporation $100 to keep the lot in order. She has left in her will $200 more. Mr Jones says the lot looks badly -- I told him, if a lot was in bad order the income of $100 would not help it, & it was probably not in good order 3 years ago.

Perhaps it will be well for you to report on both at same time -- cost of present repair -- cost of perpetual repair

Resp.y yours

A. J. Coolidge

Capt. D.L. Winsor

Sir:

The Exors. of late Nancy Fairbanks accept the terms of the Corporation for the perpetual repair of lot 659, Greenbrier P. - that is $360 - and "$55 for putting the lot in perfect order," as described in your report of Sep. 28th

Please proceed at once, if possible to do it before cold weather, with the present repairs. Please reply by mail, or when you come in tomorrow,if whether you can finish it, and if the estimate includes the removal of a tree, which Mr Jones says needs to be taken out.

He is ready to pay the fund & bill as soon as we are ready. -

Very Respy yours

A. J. Coolidge

Mr John Mack

Dear Sir,

I am informed that you have called once or twice at my office for a deed of lot no. 3800 in the Cemetery. I presume you misapprehend the practice with the Corporation. The invariable course is not to make a deed until after the purchaser has been to the Treasurer & paid for the lot.

Please call upon our Treasr Geo Wm Bond, 13th Federal St. (new place) & pay him $213.25, and you will get a receipt which will enable you to go forward with your the use of your lot. I shall then make the deed so soon as I can get a return from the surveyor.

Resp.y yours

A. J. Coolidge
