The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on

There were present the President, Messrs Andrews, Cheever, Curtis, Nazro & Read

The record of the July meeting was read and approved.

The Secretary presented petitions for the designation of persons to represent lots as follows; and they were severally appointed.

Representative of Lot 52

Henry Y. Cranston, of Newport R.I. guardian of the only child ^of Richard C. Derby, late proprietor of lot numbered 52, to represent that lot.

Lot 289

Charles Lowell Thayer of Roxbury, son of Susan T. Thayer, late proprietor of lot numbered 289, to represent that lot.

Lot 293

Mr. J. Mandell of Roxbury, one of the next of kin of Mary S. Utley, late propri etor of lot numbered 293, to represent that lot.

Lot 331

Abraham Howard of Boston, (at present in China) eldest son of Abraham Howard, late proprietor of lot numbered 331, to represent that lot.

Lot 876

Dolly B. Washburn ^of North Bridgewater, widow of Henry Washburn, late proprietor of lot numbered 876 to represent that lot.

Trustees. . G. W. Bryant & Co. appln for Genl Permit for work

The Secretary submitted to the Board an application in writing by G. W. Bryant & Co. of North Bridgewater for a general permit to do work in the Cemetery. After consideration, it was

Voted, – that said application be referred to the President to consider and report thereon.

Contracts for Perp. Rep. with Guaranty, of Lots 49 & 1689 Concurred in.

The Secretary having stated that the Committee on Lots had recommended the Trustees to guaranty the perpetual repair of Lot No 49 on Moss Path belonging to the late Abel Adams of West Roxbury, deceased, for Four hundred dollars; and of Lot No 1689 on Columbine Path belonging to the heirs of the late Calvin C. Sampson of Charlestown, deceased, for Eight hundred dollars; it was

Voted, – that the above mentioned contracts be severally concurred in, on the part of this Board.

Upon the petitions of the parties in interest representatives were designated for Lots as follows; –

507. Henry Barlett of Boston, Nephew of Thomas G. Atkins, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Five hundred and seven

1564. William Howell Reed of Boston, Son of David Reed, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Fifteen hundred and sixty=four.

1578. Albert A. H. Meredith of Boston, Son of Hinman Meredith deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Fifteen hundred and seventy= eight.

2421. Mrs. Frances M. Clark of Boston, Widow of Metcalf B. Clark, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Twenty=four hundred & twenty=one.

The Secretary having stated that a Petition for the representation of Lot No 836 owned by the late Simon Pearson of Boston had been presented by ^his son T. Lyman Pearson of Arlington, the only other heir at law of the said Simon, a minor grandson named Joseph H. Pearson, under the Guardianship of Frank A. Wood M. D., of Cambridgeport, declining to join in the request for the appointment of the said T. Lyman Pearson, – it was after consideration

Voted, – that T. Lyman Pearson of Arlington be appointed representative of Lot No 836, until further action on the part of this Board shall become necessary.

The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday, , at half past Three o'clock P.M.

Present, Messrs J. T. Bradlee, N. J. Bradlee, Bigelow, Choate, Lawrence, Little, Livermore, Snow and Turner.

The record of the last meeting was read and approved.

G. W. Bryant & Co. appln for General Permit to work in Cemetery granted. A Report was received from the President to whom was referred the application of Messrs. G. W. Bryant and Co., of North Bridgewater for a general Permit to do work in the Cemetery, in favor of granting the said request upon the same terms upon which general Permits have been granted heretofore.

Voted, – that the above Report be accepted and the Secretary authorized to issue to Messrs. G. W. Bryant & Co a general Permit to do work in the Cemetery upon their filing a satisfactory Bond.
