A good day. Ben hauled some this morning. Mr Young the light man come this morning. Jim come with him. Jim plowed the garden. Ben helped Young fix up the lights. He finished here this evening. Josie got dinner.

Josies turkey eggs hatched today. I hived a swarm of bees this morning and then they went a way.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. I have bin mending Jims shirt to night.

A cloudy day. Rain tonight. Ben & Jim planted tobacco. Marvin and his crowd helped. Mr Hobson left here today. Josie ironed some and made a shirt this evening. I put Josies turkeys with Jims turkey hen this evening. I finished the little girls pillow slips this evening and carried them home. Ben shot a crow.

A cloudy morning. Clear tonight. Jim and Ben hauled manure all the morning. They fixed up some land for tobacco this evening. Josie made two shirts and done some other things.

4 of Jims turkeys drowned this evening. I am so sorry about it.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Marvin bought a pig to day and two for Kate Harvey.

A beautiful day. The boys replanted tobacco and sowed peas. Lizzie got dinner. She had potatoes and peas for dinner. Alma sowed some. I mended two shirts for the boys. I cut some clover for Lizzies cows. I had rather do something like that than set all the time.

Alma had a note from John this morning. He will not be at home Sunday.

Oh how bad I want to know a bout them at home. Want to see them all at home and of the rest of them.

Tuesday September 27, 1921

A cloudy day. A little rain. Ben and Jim tinkered a round all day. Ben & Josie went to Strait Stone and Cedar Forest. Josie bought a set of cups and saucers. Paid $1.50 for them.

Josie made Henry two shirts today. I sewed on my quilt. I pulled some grass from among the straw berries vines. Henry and Edna went to school.

We have heard that Emmet Brumfield has whooping cough.
