Contracts for Perpet^l Repair _

The Committee on Lots reported that they^^had contracted for the Perpetual Repair of lots as follows: _

1484 With Henry A Whitney for lot numbered 1484, owned by the heirs of Mary Pratt, deceased, for four hundred and fifty dollars: _

904 1309. With Dr. W^m R. Lawrence for lots numbered 904 and 1309 owned by him, for five hundred and fifty dollars: _

693 With the Executors of Nabby Joy, for lot numbered 693 belonging to her estate, for five hundred dollars: _

3356 With the Executors of John T. Kelley, for lot numbered 3356 belonging to his estate, for six hundred and seventy five dollars: _

ratified _

And it was

Voted that the said contracts be severally ratified. _

Bill for Exam.g title.

A bill of A. J. Coolidge for $45.00 for examining titles of estates purchased by the heirs of C. Stone, and of E. & M. Wyeth, was referred to the Finance Com^ee with full power.

that the heirs of his late grandmother Mary Pratt, the proprietor of Lot 1484 on Mimosa Path were much scattered, and that perpetual care of the Lot had been assummed by the Corporation in consideration of $450. – by him paid December 27^t, 1869, and requested to be appointed representative of the said Lot, _{it was}

Voted, – that M^r Henry Austin Whitney of Boston be and he is hereby designated to represent said Lot numbered Fourteen hundred and eighty=four, the said Whitney being a grandson of the said deceased proprietor.

Upon the petitions of the parties in interest representatives were designated for Lots as follows viz; –

236 Henry A. Miles of Longwood, Father of Henry T. Miles, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Two hundred and thirty = six.

414 Henry Austin Whitney of Boston, Only son of Joseph Whitney, deceased proprietor of Lot nubered Four hundred and fourteen.

741 Elizabeth M. Campbell, (Mrs. John B.,) of Brooklyn, N. Y. Daughter of _{George Phillips Parker,} deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Seven hundred and forty=one.

797 Miss Anne Pomeroy of Cambridge, Daughter of William Pomeroy, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Seven hundred and ninety=seven.

1846 Theodore R. Jencks of Chicago, eldest Son of William Jenks, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Eighteen hundred and forty=six.

Relations of this Corpⁿ to Mass. Hort. Soc^y &c _ Ref to Spec^l Com^ee

Upon motion by Mr Crocker.

Voted that the same gentlemen as were appointed last year ~ Messrs Curtis, Bigelow and Nazro, be a Committee to consider the relations and obligations of this Corporation to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, including in the subject of their inquiry, the subject of their inquiry, the Stone Farm: and that they be authorized to take the opinion of one or two eminent counsel thereupon. ~

Com^ee on Statuary

Upon motion by Mr Curtis, Voted that the President and Mr Gould be a Committee with all necessary power in relation to any existing contracts for statuary.

Supply of water from Camb. Water Works _ Ref^d to Spec^l com^ee

Upon motion from Mr Bangs, Voted to renew the Committee of last year _ viz.

Messrs Curtis, Gould, and Read,

To inquire on what terms a supply of water for Mount Auburn can be obtained from the Cambridge Water Works, and report thereon.

How much gratuitous care upon all lots annually? _ Ref^d to Com^ee on Lots _

Upon motion by Mr Read, Voted that the Committee on Lots be instructed to consider how much time shall be devoted annually, free of charge, to all lots in the Cemetery, & report thereon.

Lot 1484 Representative _

Upon the petition of the parties in interest under the will of Mary Pratt, deceased, late proprietor of lot numbered 1484, Joseph Whitney of Boston, Trustee, was designated to represent said lot.
