Mt. Auburn

John T. Bradlee Esq Chairman Comm. on Grounds.

Dear Sir

The cost of completing the bank in rear of lots 3482 - to 3982 will be $550.

To remove the stockade fence on Chant Lot line will cost $125 unless the posts are piled on Chant Lot; this could be done a little cheaper.

The cost of altering the passage way (now paved) between Maple & Halcyon Aves, into a path & covering the stone walls will be $100.

Your respectfuly J.W. Lovering

Capt. Winsor

Dear Sir,

1 Unless you happen to have the means of telling me at hand, will you be so kind as to let Fred. see if the^the line dividing two tombs built on lot 125, Hemlock Path - Mr Darlings, divides then lot in two halves: if not, tell me how much is in one & how much in the other since you reported addition of 40 feet your diagram shows it thus: -

[Diagram: Measurements of lot]

Darling wishes to convey one tomb, & the question is whether it is half of lot, more or less.

2 If you can get at it, please report on C.P. Curtis' lot - or upon both 389 right.

3 I forget whether you took [man. lot?] Sat. to report addition to Brown & Davis Fountain Av - 3482-3. Mr B has [?] lot on Clematis P.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge

C.P. Curtis Esq

Dear Sir,

The Superintendent has examined the lots of your father & uncle (J.B.C) and I think the President happened to be with him. He^(Supt.) though it would be useless to make a written report with the lots should be put in order.

He says both want new grading and sodding, and the monument on your lot is somewhat cracked, although it may not give out for twenty or thirty years.

I suppose nothing can be done till spring, when you can examine and determine what course to pursue.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge

Capt Winsor

Dear Sir,

I wish you would put down the following things to be done sure before you get busy with spring work -- The surveyor has minutes, and will cooperate with you the moment you are ready, which I trust will be within a fortnight as the frost will not trouble you much then.

William L. Bonney -- Lot 3821 -- 405 feet -- Ornamental Gr. 124 [feet]

The surveyor has put the lot upon the plan as the posts ^are set I presume -- but he did not know anything about a portion of it being ornamental ground to be made and shown in a different deed from the lot proper. I wish him informed where the line falls between burial lot & ornamental, & he will mark same on plan -- with figures, so that I can make the deed.

Lot 3482 -- Joseph A. Brown -- Fountain Ave --

Addition of 163 feet. Your men set the posts wrong. Let them set them in presence of surveyor. I suppose Mr Brown has called nearly a dozen times for this deed.

Lot 459 -- John Suter's heirs: Holly Path -- 309 feet -- Posts to be set on both sides of fence. French has staked it. I send herewith Mr Suter's order. This land
