Dear Sir
I have looked over the work to be done on lots 1216 & 17 and find that to remove the fence and all but 6 posts, to recut those, and cut the number of ^each lot in one post, to sod up the post holes, to raise the sunken grave, to repair the borders of 1217 and to clean the stones & plumb where needed will cost $3300 and I will agree to allow you $25 for the old fences, and ^if they it over runs that value at 60 cents per 100ths I will allow for the additional amount.
I think that this is as low as the work can be done for. I allow you exactly what I can get for the old iron here.
If you prefer to have other parties do the work there is no objection providing you obtain a permit from the Secretary at 15 Pemberton Sq Boston which he will give you on application.
Yrs truly J.W. Lovering.
