C. U. Cotting Esq.

Dear Sir,

I have conferred with the Committee on Lots of our Cemetery, upon the question proposed by you - whether they would allow Mrs Willard to take charge of her lot ^no. 801, during her lifetime, and would place to her credit a certain proportion of the income of the fund of three hundred and fifty ($350) dollars to meet any bills which she may authorize for such care: ~

And I am authorized to say that they will assent to this arrangement, and will place five per centum of such principal to her credit for such care.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y of Mt Auburn Cem.y

33 School St Boston

Mrs. John Blood

Madam,

I wrote you some weeks since asking you if you had decided whether to take your lot in the rectangular form, in which it was first reported, ie, 15 ft by 20 ft or whether to extend one side of it back according to the land there is there, as recommended you by the Superintendents and have received no reply from you.-

It is important that I should be informed, until which time I can make you no deed.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge Secretary of Mt Auburn

Please send your reply to me..

J. Huntington Wolcott Esq

Dear Sir,

I have shown two plans of your lot in Mt Auburn to Mr Curtis viz a tracing of the present location, and one of the proposed location, and stated as fairly as possible your views.

He wished me to leave them with him, and to say to you that he would be pleased to confer with you about the matter.

I accordingly do so.

Very respectfully You Obt Servt

Capt. D. L. Winsor

Dear Sir,

Mr Austin states that "you have not been notified that lots 1676, 2151, 3324, 126, 417, + 801, are to be taken care of by the Corporation", and requests me to so inform the Treasr-; but as the Treas is in Washington, I think it easier & safer to acquaint you directly. Lots 1676, 3324, 126 & 801 have the guaranty of perpetual repair; 2151 + 497 have not.

Mr. Austin further wishes me to "obtain from the Superintendent, a list of all lots that are in bad order, that the proprietors may be notified."

If you had any conversation with him about this, I presume you know whether he refers to all lots in the cemetery coming under [identical?] [?], or only those cared for by the Corporation, & subject to the inspection of the Committee on Lots. I don't know which he wishes, as I have not seen him. His request is in writing.

Mrs. Marion S. L. Churchill has just deposited with the Corporation $300 to be added to the Repair Fund, for the perpetual care of her lot no. 243, on Woodbine Path, the northwesterly side of Appleton Hill. Neither Mrs. C. nor I could tell what amount would be sufficient - but I think this will do whatshe wishes. She has for years been accumu-- lating this sum and now puts it into the hands of the Corporation as a safe place of deposit & accumulation, if more should be necessary. I will give you her idea, and you will please report about her lot. She has never had anything done to the lot - and wishes but little done - likes the pines there, but wishes a stump dug out - a
