that more land has been enclosed than the proprietor is entitiled to, to require him or her to remove the fence from the land trespassed on. They do not necessarily exercise that right, unless the trespass is injurious to the Corporation or to some other proprietor.

In this case, the space between your lot and Mr Bradford's, by reason of this Encroachment, is too narrow at the rear end of the lots: and I am instructed by the Committee on Lots to notify you that they expect the obstruction to be removed. This they have the right to require of the proprietor at his or her own expense. Under certain circumstances, perhaps they would authorize it to be done at the expense of the Corporation. I should like to confer with you on the subject at an early day.
