Ezra Forristall, Esq., Boston

Dear Sir: -

Your order on the Crosby lot is received and will have attention. The lot will be resodded, using the present sod as far as it will go and supplying the balance for $30.00

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

#2874 - S

Elisha Bassett, Esq. Newton Centre.

Dear Sir: -

Your note to our Treasurer has been forwarded to me for answer. I am sorry that the bill sent you for repairs to the myrtle is not satisfactory. I have examined the charge, and do not think it is an unfair one. The charges for repairs to myrtle are more unsatisfactory to both sides than any other class of work we do. If the myrtle is not in good condition in the Spring following the repairs we are expected to make it good. In fairness to the Corporation I do not see that any deduction could be made in your bill, unless you are willing to take the risk of the young myrtle going over the winter, in which case a reduction of $2.50 might be made.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Geo. B. Randall, Esq., Admr. Est. Sarah Houghton, Newton.

Dear Sir:-

The lot of the late Sarah Houghton is in a very neglected condition, the graves are sunken the stones are without proper foundations, and one cross is so far out of plumb as to be in danger of falling. To put the lot in fair shape would cost $25.00.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

Mrs. L.M. Chamberlain, Newton Centre, Mass.

Dear Madam:-

Your note is received. The charge for the use of two hydrangeas in 1887 was $3.00, in 1888 large and handsome plants were asked for, and the charge was made $5.00. As there was no special notification of the change given you I will make the charge $3.00 as before, but as there is a large expense attending the care and watering of these plants, such plants as you had last year cannot hereafter be charged at less than $5.00.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.
