Posts 3 ft out of ground, were set at all prominent points, and long stakes, firmly driven down, were put in to complete the lines.

Both posts and stakes were painted, those in the lines of the Avenues - white and those marking the Ornamental Grounds - Yellow -

The lot is scattered over with large piles of Muck, among which the Avenues have been kept clear, but not built as yet, except a portion of Western Avenue (from (K) to (L) [Plan of Avenues (C)]), which has been graded sufficiently to enable a carriage to be driven over it.
