Dear Madam
In answer to the note at foot of your order, in reference to painting the fences of Lots 31 and 2317 I will say that the probable cost will be $1000 for each Lot.
The present is as favorable a time as any as there is no dust to mar the appearance of the paint before drying.
Very Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt. per Childs
Should you wish the painting done please return enclosed order

Mr Curtis has asked me to write you a note, inquiring whether it is true that the work was done upon the Bradford lot without your knowledge.
As there is a meeting next Monday, when Mr Curtis proposes to bring up this matter, with a view to afford the Tileston's some remedy, your reply before that will much oblige him.
Yours truly
A.J. Coolidge Secy
Please address your answer to me.
Dear Sir,
Miss Sarah A. Tileston, propr or daughter of the propr of lot 2317, on Sylvan Path, but which fronts towards Walnut Avenue, has written Mr Curtis, complaining of the obstruction to a passage way from 2d Avenue to this lot by means of the manner in which the lot of Alden Bradford, no 176, Walnut Avenue, is enclosed. - Mr Curtis was informed by Miss Tileston that you expressed surprize at seeing the Bradford posts set as they were, and gave her to understand that you were not consulted about it, and were ignorant of it at the time.
