Geo W Messenger Esq
Dear Sir,
Mrs Gould's daughter is the legal heir to lot no 1769, our lots being declared by this Charter to be real estate. As the daughter is abroad, I see no objection to Mrs Gould's representing this lot.
But a new dilemma may be presented by Mrs Gould's going abroad, as the lot is enclosed with iron fence. These lots need constant attention, or they soon fall into disrepair. If you should advise Mrs Gould to avail herself of a provision of our by laws in giving the Corporation a sum of money to keep her lot in perpetual repair, from the income of the fund. I think you will do her and those interested good service. The same paid for that are $300 & upwards, according to the nature of the lot site requirements.
My Respy yours
A.J. Coolidge. Sec.y
Sullivan B. Ball Esq Fitchburg, Mass.
Dear Sir,
Excuse my seeming want of attention by your request of Decr 5 to know the value of lot of Molezias Morse - 624, Walnut Ave (not Chestnut).
I expected to be at the Cemetery in a day or two after the recpt of your note, & give you my opinion from personal inspection; but the snow has decided that matter.
However, I can give you about as good an opinion from knowledge of its location. It cannot be worth less than $300, and $400 could not be a high price, at all, for the lot.
I like to know where our proprietors are. My catalogue fixes Mr Morse in Leominster. I rather infer he is now in Fitchburg. Will you please state? If I can serve you in any way further I shall be happy to do so.
Yours Respy A.J. Coolidge Secy.

Dear Sir,
Please send the items who you gave the Doctor, if you returned a copy; if not I will send to him for the note.
I wish information of the location of the following numbers for the catalogue. I will give a list, & insert any that I happen to know, & lots are unsold. You will remember that you were to locate them for sale, & have probably done so. Please state the contents of each.

Dear Madam
Lot #1533 Chestnut A. is worth about $400 to $450.
In regard to your inquiries about #1340 Cypress A. The Trustees will probably make no objection to taking the lot under perpetual care as it now is, with the Fence, after the same is painted. They would prefer, probably to take the lot without any fence cast or anything of the kind, with simply a granite post at each corner to mark the boundaries, but do not insist, upon the removal of the fence. In fact the objections to a fence apply with equal force to curbs or other enclosures. The probable cost of Perpetual Care of this lot after the fence is painted will be $650 to $700. - We can paint the fence when you desire it done.
Very Respectfully
