Edwin F. Adams Esq
Dear Sir,
I send you the instruments to be executed by yourself, and others in the matter of endowing lots 1875-8 in-- clusive, in Mt Auburn.
I marked in pencil the way the paper should be executed. You can rub out my pencil marks, or write over them, and I will erase them.—
I did not know whether Mr Forster's residence is Somerville or Charlestown, & left it blank.
When the parties have signed, I will help you through with the rest.
Truly yours
A.J. Coolidge Sec.
Dear Sir,
Will you, if you have time in the morning, fill up and bring in a Report upon lot 1397 Asclepias Path, Sol. Sargent, for Perpetual Repair?—
I wish also the inside measures of the Cutter, Fay & Thompson lots on Laurel Hill. Mr Shedd has not got them, but says you have them. And if you have your diagram of irregular lots in such shape as to bring them in and clear obstructions I should like it.
I will try to give you a report upon the Interments.
By the way (privately) if Lewis Jones has not taken away that August order of interment, please get it of Mr. Safford, & bring it in. It will not alter the situation of matters with Jones.
Respectfully yours,
A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

Edward Austin Esqr
Dear Sir,
The following is a copy of record of doings at the meeting of the Trustees on Monday last:
The President submitted a model of a public monument in memory of the heroes who have fallen in the present war for the preservation of the Union, which he proposed should be erected in the Cemetery, to be paid for either out of the surplus funds of the Corporation, or by obtaining subscriptions for the same, as the Trustees may determine. --
Upon motion by Mr Bowditch, Voted that the subject of this or of any monument for the purpose be referred to a Committee of three, to report upon at the next meeting: and
Messrs Austin, Norcross and Rand were so chosen.
Very Resp.y
A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
