Richard C. Derby, Esq., Newport, R.I.

Dear Sir: -

Your note is received. Lot #52 Iris path contains 300 feet (20 x 15) and ought to be worth about $600.00.

The lot, monument and fence are in very bad order. The fence cannot be put in proper repair, to remove it rehammer four posts for the corners, cut the number of the lot on one of them, remove all the other posts, grade and sod the lot and clean the monument will cost $60.00 and the old material.

If you do not care to go to the expense of this work, will you authorize me to remove the fence and all the posts but four, which can be done for the old material, it will be a decided improvement.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.
