Dear Sir
I have made inquiry of the man who put in the myrtle on your lot, and he states that myrtle and labor were furnished to the value of $4.00 as pr bill tendered. As you furnished at any rate most of the myrtle the charge seems rather high and think about the fair thing thusly would be to deduct $250 from the bill, which the Treasurer will do, if you will call
Yours truly

Dear Sir
I have written Mr J. P. Flagg. I would abate $250 on charge for "repairing myrtle'"Lot 3386. Which I think is right.
I will authorize you however to abate the whole charge $4.00 for repairing myrtle if you can do no better as we have no order.
Yrs truly
