Dear Madam
Your note of 19th is received and the work will be gone on with. It will not be possible to do the work as the foreman suggested at a less expense than $10 and the old material.

Dear Madam
In regard to your inquiries at the Boston office as to the progress of the work on your lot. I find that part of the work is done but the sodding part had to be delayed untill the season advanced far enough to get sods. The work to be done is I think perfectly understood between us and I think you will find it satisfactory when furnished.
I notice Messrs O'Brien & Son have taken out a permit to care for the lot for the coming season. Where we sod a lot we care for it for that season without extra charge and as we are responsible for the sods for that time we prefer to do it. If you desire us to be responsible for the condition of the sod after the work is finished, I should with to have the entire charge of the lot for the season.
Very respectfully James W Lovering pr J.C.S. Supt
