J.G. Kidder Esq

Dear Sir

I send you by mail plans of two different tombs: one of them would be built entirely underground & the entrance of which could be covered by the sod or not as desired & could be built either into the hillside near the lake, or on a more level spot.

The other plan would necessarily be built into the hill side & would have a part of cut stone, and if the exact detail of the plan which I send were followed, a larger lot would be needed, but the plan could be altered in this respect.

The plan described first is marked (A) this has a flight of brick steps from the ground & has 7 compartments on either side of the steps; the walls & arch are of brick & the part of the catacomb & doors of slate or marble floor, either cemented or tiled. The expense of a tomb of this kind would be from $1000 to $2000 according to the amount of marble, tiles &c. used in the finish. A tomb of the plan marked B of the same size with marble in front of Catacomb and ^cut stone front & marble entrance, tiled floor &c would cost from $3000 to $5000.

A lot of 300 ft. in the hillside opposite the lake would cost $675 and a larger lot in proportion. The lot near 4541 would cost $660.

When you have looked over the plans & decided in a general way
