should be made as secure as possible against loss by fire or robbery, the Committee directed the Treasurer to hire a box in the Union Safe Deposit Vaults, which has been done, and the aforesaid evidences of property of this Corporation are kept in said vaults.

The Committee have also learned from the late Treasurer, that there is still some amount of money due the Corporation, part of it for bills of long standing: but they are unable to state the aggregate amount with sufficient definiteness to embrace the same in this report. They however annex the accompanying communication received from Mr Bond. _
