communications from the late Superintendent, viz:

(a) Letter of , accompanied by a Plan, in reference to a supply of gravel for use at the Cemetery.

(b) Letter of , accompanied by Plans, statements and memoranda, concerning the need of new signs on various Avenues and Paths.

(c) A Letter of the and one of the , calling attention to certain matters connected with the "reserved spaces" on Reservations at the Cemetery.

Referred to Com. on Grounds. Comn from Supt. respecting Bridge at Auburn Lake & Benches in the Chapel referred to Com. on Grounds.

The foregoing communications having been read and considered, it was

Voted, – that the same be referred to the Committee on Grounds.

The following communication from the present Superintendent was also submitted by the President; viz:

(d) Letter of , in reference to the need of a new bridge at Auburn Lake, and to the cost of new benches for (e) the Chapel

The President submitted a communication from the late Superintendent dated , relating to the extension of the Greenhouses, the same being accompanied by sundry documents and Plans.

Also a letter addressed to the late Superintendent by Joseph Fox asking information as to the means of obtaining a General Permit to do work in the Cemetery.

ownership of Lot No 124, Ivy Path, made by Laura A. Adams, in behalf of her husband Samuel Adams, and herself, by Charles P. Gorely, her Attorney, was also presented.

Voted, – that the foregoing communications be referred to the Committee on Lots

Comn from ret'g Supt. resp.y rem. of remains from R.T. referred to Com. on Interments

The President submitted a communication from the late Superintendent, ^dated calling attention to the necessity of taking measures for the removal from the Receiving Tomb of remains deposited for a longer time than allowed by the By=Laws.

Voted, – that said communication be referred to the Committee on Interments

Wm S. Frost comn from resp. Dec. Day privs referred to Prest with full powers.

Also a communication from William S. Frost, in behalf of Post 15, G.A.R., dated , asking for the extension of the same facilities to the Post under his command for Decoration=day as has been usual in former years.

Voted, – that the communication be referred to the President with full powers.

Death of Supt.'s Horse. Prest authorized to purchase new one.

The President having stated that the horse allowed for the personal use of the Superintendent had died during the previous Autumn, on motion of Mr Turner it was

Voted, – that the President be authorized to purchase a horse for the Superintendent's use.

The President having laid before the Trustees a letter addressed to them under date of , by Geo. L. Noyes, collector of taxes for the town of Watertown, demanding payment of that portion of the Tax of 1872 which was assessed upon the Watriss Lot, it was

opinion that no immediate action is necessary, and desire that time may be granted for further consideration.

(c.) In the matter of the Petition of Mrs Laura A. Adams, in behalf of herself and of her husband Samuel Adams, referred , the Committee recommend that the petitioner have leave to withdraw.

General Permits. Patrick O'Brien & Joseph Fox: their Petition for granted conditionally.

(d.) With regard to the Petitions of Messrs. Patrick O'Brien, and Joseph Fox for the issue to them of a General Permit to do work on the Lots of proprietors, the Committee having carefully examined the subject respectfully report that, in consequence of the relations now existing between certain proprietors and the applicants, however they may have been established, and with a view of avoiding any possible embarassments to such proprietors, the Committee recommend that General Permits for work be issued to the parties named upon furnishing a bond for not less than one thousand dollars, ($1000.–) each in the usual manner, for the completion of the labor upon such Lots as they may be now engaged upon, with such restrictions as shall give them no other rights than are contemplated by the present By=Laws, and as shall not prevent the corporation from imposing other conditions as they may think advisable hereafter.

(e.) In the matter of the proposed re=location of Lots Nos 2031 and 3116, Magnolia Av., belonging to Mr William W. Whitcomb, the Committee recommend that the Secretary be authorized to receive a re=conveyance of said Lots for the purpose of re=locating the same in the manner shown on
