Messrs McDonnell & Sons.

Dr Sirs

I have seen the lot of octagon posts you have sent us & am sorry to find that they are pretty hard looking specimens, and do not compare favorably with your previous work here. I shall depend on your sending us something better, for the balance of the lot, or else I prefer you should send none. Please give this matter your attention, and oblige

Yours truly J.W. Lovering Supt

Wm P. Tewksbury Esq 32 Bromfield St Boston

Dear Sir:

Your favor of the 28th inst is at hand. If you will send the Number of the Lot referred to in the letter to me, I will send you an estimate in detail of what is needed to put the lot in proper order, from which you can order what you see fit.

Dear Sir:

In reply to your letter of the 6th inst I will state that Lot #1558 Sorrel Path needs "grading" "sodding" and enriching with manure.

The marble needs cleaning and the Fence needs painting; at an expense of from $6500 to $7000

I should be pleased to receive your order for the necessary work.

Very Respectfully James W Lovering per Childs.
