. The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday, , at half past Three o'clock P. M.

Present, Messrs J. T. Bradlee, Bigelow, Choate, Lawrence, Snow and Turner.

The record of the last meeting was read and approved.

Supt's. mode of performing stone work on Lots. Partial Report of Spec. Com. concerning

A verbal Report was received from Mr J. T. Bradlee, in behalf of the Joint Committee composed of the Committee on Grounds and the Committee on Lots charaged, at the last meeting, with an enquiry into the method pursued by the Superintendent in performing stone work on private Lots. The Report stated that the Committee had entered upon the duty assigned them, but were not yet prepared with a final Report, and requested that further time be granted. On motion of Mr Turner, it was

Further time granted

Voted, – that the Committee have leave to sit again.

A written Report was submitted by the Committee on Finance, through Mr Turner in reference to the present

Voted, – that the subject be postponed to the next meeting of the Board.

A verbal communication was received from Mr Lawrence in behalf of the Committee on Grounds in regard to a supply of water for a fountain at Halcyon Lake; also for a supply for a small fountain on Elm Avenue near the lot of the late Peter Hubbell, proposed to be presented to the Corporation by his Widow. On motion of Mr Lawrence

Halcyon Lake supply of water for fountain at authorized:

Voted, – that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to make arrangements with the Water Board of the City of Cambridge for supplying water for a fountain at Halcyon Lake, and to make all necessary connection with the water pipes for that purpose.

Also for fountain on Elm Av.

Voted, – that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to furnish water for a small fountain on Elm Avenue, if they shall deem it for the interest of the corporation; and make the necessary connection with the Cambridge water pipes for that purpose

Water supply for Cem.y Subject ref. to Com. on Grds to cons. & report.

On motion of Mr Turner, it was

Voted, – that the general subject of water supply for the Cemetery be referred to the Committee on Grounds to consider and report.

Washburn Wm claim of for prof. services. Prest req. to rep. facts concerning.

On motion of the same gentleman it was

Voted, – that the President be requested to report to this Board the facts in relation to the claim made upon this Corporation by William Washburn, architect, for services in preparation of plan for the Reception House.

Monthly Statement sales of land accepted, &c.

A statement of the sale of land effected by the Superintendent, November 11t to date, having been submitted and read, it was

Voted, – that said statement be accepted and placed on file.

Upon the petition of the partisan interest the following representative was appointed.

4102 Edward M. Raymond of Boston, son of Olvin F. Raymond deceased proprietor of Lot numbers forty-one hundred and two.

Conts. for perp. rep. with G. of Lots Nos 657 900 1763 1350 1898 & 2587 concurred in.

The Secretary having stated that the Committee on Lots had recommended the Trustees to guaranty the perpetual repair of the following Lots, viz:

No 657, Central Square, late of John Templeton, deceased for the sum of $900.– No 900 (monument,) Willow Av., East branch, belonging to the Hon. Otis Norcross, for the sum of $50.– No 1350 (Addn to,) belonging to heirs of Abby M. Loring, for the sum of $300. No 1898 Elm Av. South branch, late of Peter Hubbell, deceased, for the sum of $1500.– and of No 2587, Central Av., late of Isaac Ray deceased for $650.– it was

Voted, – that the above contracts be concurred in.

Dissolved.
