James M. Cook Esq.

Dear Sir

If approved by our trustees (as would probably be the case) I will sell you a strip of land 2 feet wide running the whole length of the back of your lot if your neighbor^proprietors of Lot 2473 will take an equal width at the back of his. The price would probably be $1.50 pr foot.

Respectfully J.W.Lovering Supt

Jonathan Mann Esq.

Dear Sir

In regard to the border for tomb lots 4272 & 4273 - you will find but 6 feet allowed on the certificate as it was thought best not to push them too far into the hill.

If you are not satisfied with this, I suppose you are not bound to take the lots, and on looking over the matter I think 6 feet is the best distance.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering -

Jonathan Mann Esq

Dear Sir

Your valued favor of at hand. We will build the tombs and grade & sod the lots, 4272 & 4273 Palm Ave at the prices named in the enclosed orders, providing we do the whole of the work of excavating & building, or the whole of grading & sodding, but we cannot afford to furnish the labor at these prices unless we take the whole of either of these portions of the work.

We will give you all the time of day & gang which we can, but having already undertaken some other work where he will be needed, must reserve the right to use him for the best general good of the proprietors.

If this meets with your approval, please return these orders signed by the proprietors or by yourself as agent for them. The plan of the tomb must be approved by the committee on Lots.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt

Dear Sir

Your favor of at hand. The Committee on Lots (of the Trustees) have notified me that no tomb must be built, until the plan has been approved by them, so that the sooner you can make it convenient to submit your plan, the sooner this matter can be settled.

Mr Saml Batchelder can furnish you with a permit for laborers & teams, a separate permit being required for each lot. If you wish a General permit, it would be necessary to apply to the Trustees.
