Return this order to the Supt. when finished and notify him before sending bill.

Mr Safford,

Dear Sir

[diagram: triangular lot with plots 1,2,3 marked]

In Lot 2328, on Rosemary Path plan build the following as per plan - Build 3 brick graves for enough back from front fence to allow gate to open - Remove into No.2 the body in Grave now covered with Myrtle, preserving Myrtle & replanting it if possible - Remove into No.1 the body in Grave (A) in corner placing remains in new box - Leave No.3 vacant Use same sod if possible - If lot is wide enough for 4 brick graves in a row, remove C to 4th brick grave between No.1 and fence. If not, remove the body to point of lot without making a brick grave, put it in a box if desirable - Build 2 foundations at Nos. 1 & 2, 2'4" long x 1'2" wide this work is to be done just as soon as sods can be replaced without injury. Leave grade of sod below the fence.

Yours truly James W. Lovering Supt. J.E.C.

Capt. D.L. Winsor

Dear Sir,

I have made up a package, if you will let boy call in for it, as I leave in the morning.

It contains notices to undertakers ^ie of change of prices of ints -- I have sent to most in Bost. -- Camb. & some few others -- & think you had better let your folks hand them to other undertakers as they come to the Gate.

I also send you deed of Capt. Pelham's lot, which Mr Curtis requested me to have sold for the Capt. As I cannot attend to it I hand the job over to you. Anything over what he gave or has left, I believe will be satisfactory.

I also enclose some blanks & as requested by Mr Safford this P.M.

Truly

A. J. Coolidge Sec.y

Mr Richardson will do as well, as he can [?] in my abcen.

Messrs Shedd & Edson,

Gentlemen,

We have quite a number of lots sold & laid out since your last survey. It would somewhat expedite the business of the Cemetery, as well as secure greater care, if you will survey and enter on the plan all the lots now ready.--

Yours very truly

A. J. Coolidge Sec.y

Mrs E.A. Crowley Holliston, Mass.

Dear Madam, I understand that you are the only heir to lot no. 2624 in the Cemetery: but you cannot so stand on our records without making the affidavit which I send you. If you will sign it and make oath before a Justice of the Peace, I will record you as the proprietor. This will probably be of importance to you to preserve the title for you and your heirs. Our charge is $2. which you may remit, when you return the affidavit.

Please also sign and return as soon as you can the order for the removal of Mr Fishe's body. Mrs. Powers showed me your letter requesting it, but we want this formal order. --

Yours respectfully

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

Capt D.L. Winsor

Dear Sir,

Will you please direct Mr Safford to see that no removal of the body of Ezekiel Hallet or any other person interred in lot no 2603, rear of Central Avenue, is made without further orders, as a question of rights is pending respecting it before the Trustees.

Will you personally notify Lewis Jones, the undertaker, that he must not come again to Mt Auburn with a body for interment without a proper order for the same from a person, duly authorized, under the risk of being stopped at the Gate: and direct the Gatekeeper not to open the gate to Mr Jones with any body for interment,

Capt Winsor,

Dear Sir,

Mr J.C. Converse wishes me to say that he is ready to take the land as surveyed by you in addition to lot 889 on Poplar & Willow Avenues. --He thinks he left it so a year ago, when he talked with you, but as you showed him a plan, and he did not decide upon the granite contract, he says you may have recd the impression that he left both undecided. He would have preferred a little less of a jog on the west side - but is willing to lease that to you.

I have told him that he will have to pay $1.00 per foot for his land now, when he could have recd it, if he had been more punctual, at 50 cts.

He says if you will report the amount to be added, he will pay for it, at any time.

As the matter has been lying unfinished with me for two or three years, the event is to be very much desired; and I hope you will report it forthwith.

Respectfully yours

A.J. Coolidge

Please say to Mr Safford, I would like the orders of interment for Novr & Decr
