is a small piece of land marked as Temporary Ornamental Ground on my sale plans, but which has never been set aside for that purpose by the Comm. on Grounds. I enclose a tracing of it showing how I can divide it if the Committee do not object. Mr G. S. Butler of Boston is thinking of purchasing the 400 foot lot, if the matter can be decided on soon.
In regard to the "New Map" I have received an estimate from Shed & Sawyer of the cost of placing on the present lithographs all the lots sold, and new paths &c. which would be necessary in the first place, as we have no exact map on that scale, to alter the stone by.
I have seen the Lithographer Mr. Longfellow, who has given me an estimate for altering the stone & also for printing & paper. He will examine the stone carefully & [del] see if it can be used again, should the Trustees decide to make these alterations, there being some doubt as to its giving good & clear impressions.
