Dear Sir,

Your favor of 17^th inst is rec^d for an order for having your lot graded & corner posts set. As to the latter I would suggest as being more ornamented to hexagonal Posts if agreeable to you to have them.

Presuming you w^d wish your lot sodded & No. cut on Posts I have enclosed an order for same which will you please sign & return to me.

There are two styles of putting N^os on post viz plain & square sunk. The cost of the former being $3.00/100 & the latter $6.00/100

Dear Sir,

I have received your note of 19^th inst with reference to [posting?] & sodding your lot. I will see it is [done?] in the best possible shape. I am sorry to say I have not any octagonal posts with finial at the top as you have described, but, have on hand those with flat tops which if you choose I shall have set for you w. N^o cut. I should be happy to furnish posts similar to yours, [which?] did not that By Laws prohibits and on that point.

The order is received and in reply I would say that we can grade, sod lot & cut no for $125, furnishing you such corner posts as we keep a supply of -

I wrote you Today that the By-laws of the Corporation did not permit me to furnish any thing but the patterns we have otherwise of course I should be happy to assist you in any way I could. Please let me know about the posts.

Dr Sir,

From all I can learn of Neal whom I spoke to you of a foreman of corporation lots I think it very doubtful if we can do better this year.

I thought I would let him take his orders for care direct from myself, only calling on the gardener to furnish the necessary number of plants, thus making it a separate department. Please let me know as soon as convenient your wishes in the matter
