91Office of the Light House Engineer Rear Admiral W.B. Shubrick, Sir: I have the honor to submit the following Report of Light House Operations for the month of October, 1871. Yaquina Light House, Oregon Machinist traveled for Portland to Newport & back on his arrival the L.H, Overseer had succeeded in putting up the Lantern & Lens, so that his services were not needed. Light House has been turned over to the L.H. Keeper. As no chimneys have been sent, I made application to the L.H. Inspector at San Francisco, and as soon as they are received, the lamp will be lighted.
