Sir: The Board transmits herewith for your information and for the files of your Office a copy of a letter dated, 12 May, 1906 from this Department to the Treasury Department, authorizing the use of the Yaquina Bay, Oreg., Light-House Reservation for Life-Saving purposes, under such conditions as may be prescribed by the Engineer of the Thirteenth L. H. District, and with the understanding that should this site be needed again for lighthouse purposes the permission for its use may be revoked by this Department. Respectfully, [signature] Lieut.
