Petition for amending the game laws on hunting deer

To the honorable legislature of the State of Wisconsin. We the undersigned residents of Columbia County; do most respectfully petition for an alteration of the game law relating to Deer. We ask that the open season may be from Nov 1st. to Dec 10th/ for the following reasons 1st it being so early that venison spoils on our hands. 2nd All agriculturists from Oct 1st to Nov 10th are too busy to engage in that sport. We also petition, To prohibit the ruinning of deer by dogs at any time. And for the repeal of that part of the law; prohibiting the shipping of game out of the State.
