I return an amended statement in the forms requested
by Mr Lindsay and accompany it with a Bill for £151. 17. 4
as requested. The auctioneers Accounts are made in the usual manner
I am not aware that it is customary for them to furnish vouchers
for their payments. Both auctioneers rendered their Accounts in like
manner and I am satisfied that the items charged were duly
expended by them you can speak to Mr Allison on the subject the
only point on which I had a doubt was the luncheon given to the
purchasers but as you said it was the practice always observed by
your Father I asserted and I cannot see anything very wrong in
the matter. With respect to the other articles alluded to by Mr Lindsay
as coming under art 86. of the printed instructions the can be
discussed only [on] their merits when they are particularly [enumerated]

Since I wrote you this morning
I have seen the Spanish Consul at
this port, and whose district takes
in Bridlington - He has requested me
to say that he will thanke you not
to allow anything to be landed from
the "Pecta" nor allow her Hatches to
be opened till you hear further from
me or from him, he has had
a communication respecting
the Vessel from the Consul General
for Spain in London; and I have
supplied him with the infomration
contained in your letters to forwarded to
him. He is under an impression that
one of the owners of the "Pecta" is now
in Liverpool - so he will no doubt
be soon with you. But do not allow
even him to interfere with the
Ship when he comes will the salvors
