The other day James Stephenson of
Bridlington Quay, one of the salvors in the case
of the "Friendship " attended here with the
master of the vessel with an award made
by Mr Brambles which the master
delivered to me - I sent Mr Moxon and Mr
England each a copy - annexed are their
replies which I will thank you to commu
nicate to Stephenson and note hereon
the date of your having done so - and
return them with this paper to J.S.

of Goole, Knottingley

I beg to acquaint you that I forwarded
to Mr Moxon and Mr England a copy of the
award made by Mr Brambles in respect of
your vessel and her cargo that you left with me
the other day. They have both replied.
Mr Moxon says "We are not satisfied with the
award and further we have arranged with
the underwriters to meet the case in the Court of
Admiralty" Mr England says "We have
forwarded the award you sent us to London
and wait a reply when we will write
you J.S.
