"Anchor 148/1855" 22 Feb 1856
Dear Sir
I think that in this case Messrs
Bramble ought - in the first instance
to have been given us all the information
they possessed respecting the Anchor
in question - I hope they will now
do so - which when compared with
the reply you receive from Dundee
will set the matter at rest - parties
claiming wreck property are bound
to exhibit to you and me all the -
information they possess.
I answer the affidavit of Williamson
and Smith - I think they are bound
to assign a Good reason why anchor
148/1855 is not the "Jean & Jessies" and also
if the can - to state to what vessel it
belongs I am sorry you are so
troubled with this matter. JS.
