I am so sorry about the postage. Geo.
Brosins told me the day I left that
one ounce could now go for 5 cents
instead of 1/2 ounce, and I supposed
the new rule worked both ways.
Otherwise I should have been more
careful to use thin paper. I have
had letters from Mr. Barrett, Theresa,
Margaret, & Miss Farles.

Since Sunday, I have been rather
quiet and have slept a great deal.
Zurich is rather stupid, I think, altho
the longer I stay, the more respect
I have for it. The tram conductors
are very thoughtful, and I have
gone all over the city alone by
street car. It is great fun to go to
the little shops where they speak
only German. My sign language
is better than my Deutch. I do
want a Swiss watch. you can
get them for three dollars, and a
dandy for ten, guaranteed. Silks
and Swiss embroideries are enchanting
here. So are the little Malkerei or
