through Argentina Investments.
I can sympathise – for I was advised
to invest . & did so – fortunately
I had not a very large sum to be
invested – but I have lost interest
which I could ill spare – and the
capital is unsaleable at half
that it cost. One must not
grumble . when so many clever
careful non speculative men have
lost – but it is inconvenient –
& may force me to retrench yet more
However these affairs are so much
a matter of "hue & cry" that they
may come round before long –
I never blame any one for this
advice failing – If one asks it
one is not bound to follow it – & so
I never reproach any one – for my
own acts . but Im sorry for it now,
