Dear Mr Tresidder,

Thankyou for yout recent letter. It is gratifying to know that you are concerned about the plans of us service men and that you intend to have a University to our liking when we come back. Although I have thought considerably about my post war plans the only thing I am sure of is that I will return to Stanford and work toward a degree. Following are the answers to the rest of your questions.

Before I entered the army I had completed five quaters of pre-medical studies. Now I do not know that I shall continue with medicine. Being a pilot in the Air Corps I have naturally become interested in aeronautics especially in the field of jet-proplusion. I am not interested in piloting for a living but I might want to get into the technical branch. Besides the sciences my course will include English, philosophy, psychology and probably some language. I can offer no suggestions for an improved program just now.

As for having accommodations I anticipate living with my brother Delts again. I sincerely hope that the fraternities will be waiting for our return.

a good job with its extra-curricular activities in the music concerts, Tactics, and inter-fraternity competition. I have found plenty to keep my interest from lagging. If these activities are continued I should be satisfied also. I look forward to Stanford regaining its supremecy in Pacific Coast Athletics. In short, I want Stanford just like it was when I left.

In the latter part of February I was in California on leave and was luck enough to spend a few hours on the campus. Not many old friends were there but seeing the farm blossom with early spring was like a shot in the arm. I sincerely hope that the fulfilment of my Stanford plans will not be delayed much longer.

Very truly yours,

Lt. George E Grimes 0-2075868 Sgd. H. Class 325 Box 1026 Hendricks Field Sebring, Fla.
