I had to alight from my Horse, & lie
down on my Blanket by the Road
side divers Times & it seemed as if
I never had a nearer Prospect of Mortality;
however I amde a Shift to
get to a House, there were deviers Frds,
in Company, some of whom went &
procured a Waggon & Horses to carry
me further; but I got so much
better that I chose to ride my Horse
again, & got into teh Neighbourhood
I aimed at, to Cousin Jno Talbot's,
40 Miles, next Morning to my
Brothers, & so on to the Quarterly select
Meeting of New Garden, where I was
also silent except a few Words at the
