significance. Most of their movement are too fast to follow. Some of the youngest can ripple their trunks
keeping the hips & head steady. I'm sure no one else could do it - even slowly. The singing puts the finishing touch on the business. Some of the boys have a marvellous physique. Few are really black, but mostly golden brown.

My eyes are normal once more, thank goodness. I'll be more careful in future. Reading by lantern light
is pretty difficult though.

I've stopped going to the pictures this last month - I usually come home feeling pretty blue.

The comforts fund must have gone out of existence. They've not sent even a cake of soap since Xmas. It never was much, so hope the AIF. is treated more often.

Henry Dean from Wynnum is very ill with fever at present. Gosh, he's in pain. Most of the Konedobu
units are in barracks here. Phil Cullin & many others from Wynnum. This is a far healthier camp - none of
us worry over fever.

One of the new lads was 'under the weather' a deal lately. In some of his confidential moments he said his fiance died last week. The poor fellow is almost out of his mind - That's happened to quite a few chaps I know
